Happy Birthday Friend!

This is a fun card. Kind of cartoony but I like it.  The sketch from Retro Sketches was the first clue, the colors from ColourQ made me think of a sunset by the ocean and I had the perfect MS punch and ribbon to meet the requirements for Friday Mashup. Oops! It closed. I used a stamp set from Stampendous that I bought many years ago and  had never used. The CS and markers are from SU.  The sentiment is computer generated. Hoping this card will put a smile on your face.  Enjoy!

Butterflies

I'm getting better at planning my challenges.  Again I was able to combine 3 challenges: Pals Paper Arts, Dynamic Duos and The Paper Players.  I made the butterfly border with an MS and EK border punch.  The flower was stamped on the inside layer of the paper after breaking the fibers and pulling apart.  On the center panel I stamped the flower twice in yellow and twice in black; can't see the second black because I put the flower over it.  Enjoy!

Friends

Two fantastic challenges, ColourQ and Freshly Made.  It had been a while since I used my Flower Soft and I thought this stamp set from SU would be perfect for it.  I cut some clouds with a PTI die and sponged over them with the Tempting Turquoise ink to create the sky.  I colored the stamp with Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade markers and stamped the same image twice, moving it just a bit to the side the second time to create a shadow effect.  I then applied the Flower Soft with a darker Lavender, but you can still see the Wisteria Wonder shadow.  I created the double-edged border by cutting it twice and adding just the loops to the bottom. I used the ribbon to cover the joint.  Enjoy!

It's your day!

This is a very "ME" card, tropical and colorful.  The Paper Players had fun colors to play with and the sketch from retro sketches was a fun one too.  I created the card base by stamping the palm leaves in the same ink color as the paper and the flowers were stamped in all the PP colors, creating my own paper as well.  All products used are SU except for the brads.  Enjoy!

Baby Boy

Finally he is home!  My friend had a baby boy that was premature and stayed in the hospital for a long time.  I'm going to meet him soon and when I saw the colors from Dynamic Duos and the sketch from Clean & simple, BOOM!! I thought this was the perfect combo. I used a lot of dimensionals, something I like to do a lot and had stopped doing.  I wanted to put some glitter on the stars for bling-bling but since it's for a boy, I didn't.  Umm... I think I will add some shine to the stars. After all, stars shine for everybody.  Enjoy!

Patriotic Thank You

I had to make this card...it's my way of somehow showing my appreciation and thanking all those that risk their lives and their families. Thank you!
The idea was to tie a yellow ribbon around the tree, so I embossed the blue piece in a wood embossing folder and tied the ribbon around it.  I first punched out the stars from the top layer and then stamped the bottom layer. I used dimensionals to give it some depth.  The yellow "bursts" were made by using VersaMark and Daffodil Delight together.  I mixed clear embossing powder and Dazzling Diamonds for a bit more shine.  Enjoy!

Te Quiero Mucho

"Te quiero mucho" (I love you a lot) was a request from a friend that asked me to make some cards in Spanish for Mother's Day.  The sentiment was computer generated and the challenge is from ColourQ.  I embossed the Pear Pizzazz paper to give it some texture and heat embossed the flowers for contrast. Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day

What a pretty sketch from Freshly Made. It can even be masculine if you use the right colors.  The DP from SU that I used is one I'll miss. I love that paper and the stamp set.  I'm also posting this card with the Paper Players since their challenge was a Mother's Day card.  Enjoy!

Make a Wish

Congratulations Dynamic Duos on your first challenge!  Wish you lots and lots of more challenges to come.  What a group of talented designers you picked.  I wanted to participate and found a great sketch from retrosketches, another challenge that I enjoy, and paired them up to create my card for today.  The first thought was to create something beach themed but I couldn't put it together so a new set of embossing folders I bought took the place.  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

It makes me happy when I can combine challenges. It makes me think even harder especially when I combine it with ColourQ which makes it difficult for me at times to play with the colors.  This time The Paper Players had a Tic Tac Toe and I chose to go straight down on the right... Square card, Ribbon and Designer Paper. The sketch came from Mojo Monday.  Had some suggestions from my daughter on changing the color of the border and it actually worked, thanks mija!  Enjoy!
