Happy Easter

I bought this cross recently from Taylored Expressions and was looking forward to using it for Easter, but it is a bit bigger than I thought it would be.  Still very pretty and I'm sure I'll end up liking it more.  I decided on blue tones and white because of the sky paper.  The embossing is perfect for this card.  Enjoy!

Sketch, Colors and Style

Sketch with a twist... I raised the two panels that framed the card area leaving an open area between the two to create the horizontal line.  Love tags! and the craft color, swirls and a touch of blue are perfect for the papers I picked.  The body form added even more of STYLE to this card.  Enjoy!

Happy Easter

I'm enjoying making Easter cards, not about bunnies and eggs, but about the Resurrection of Christ.  The  sun and flowers in yellow complimented the light gray.  The cross was stamped and fussy cut and a small stone was placed in the center.  Enjoy!

Pop of Yellow

Simple sketch and colors, but a lot of cute ideas found at these challenges.  I created a circle frame to put the flower in, the solid circle made it too dark.  The background can be seen through the petals of the flower.  Several layers of petals made the flower pop.  Enjoy!

Flowers

Once again, I was inspired by this card.  I like the idea of using the negative and this allowed me to use it.  The flowers were easy to make but time consuming, but this card is for my niece's birthday and she is well worth it!!  Enjoy!

He Has Risen

Today I was inspired by the great placement of colors in Amy's card.  I used the negative part of the leaves to create the print paper.  I stained the card in a couple of areas while stenciling, so I purposely added a few more to cover the mistake.  Enjoy!

Cross

I was inspired to do black but not liking the end results for Easter.  T added Wink of Stella to the two popped flowers and it looked a little better. I will save this one for a more serious occasion.  I bought this Our Lord's Prayer stamp and was happily surprised with how neat it stamped.  Enjoy!
